Found some old videos

Friday, January 16th, 2009

I was looking for some pictures I had made for doing a couple Cafe Press projects but I guess they were among the many things I lost in my hard drive crash a couple years ago.  I did find some silly videos I made a while back though. Feel free to mock me.

Game night

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Tonight we had some friends over to play some different games and hang out tonight.  We played a lot of games, most I don’t do so well with.  They’re either too slow, too fast, have too many rules or have too many pieces.

My favorite game, perfectly suited for my short attention span, is called Catch Phrase.  It’s a small electronic disc with 5 buttons and an LCD screen that displays text.

In the game, you play on one of two teams.  Each player chooses a category and is given a word.  The player has to give his teammates clues to help them guess the word.  It’s difficult when playing with strangers but very easy when playing with close friends.  When you mix the two together, it seems, it’s even more fun.

Kevin:  The bitch from Spider Man.
Megan:  Tobey Maguire!
Answer:  KIRSTEN DUNST

When things really get fun is in the instance you need to say things far outside the context of the word for your teammates to guess correctly.

Ray:  It’s on TV.  They have funny accents!
Answer:  ENGLISH CHANNEL

It was a great night.  If any of you that were here stop by to read this, thanks for coming and see you next time.  If you weren’t here tonight, try to make it next time.

Left 4 Dead demo available now

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

This is supposed to be the revolutionary new multiplayer zombie shooter for PC and X-Box 360. I’m anxious to play it!

Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D offers four expansive “movie campaigns” that challenge you and your fellow survivors to battle thousands of swarming zombies as you travel across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns and pitch-black forests. In addition to the movie campaigns, Left 4 Dead features a Versus mode that allows you to play as the Boss Zombies.
